but it doesn't work when the username has non-ASCII characters. In that case you must use the user ID (which is a 64-bit integer) as follows:

The username typically doesn't exceed 24 characters, but there are exceptions.

Engagement is a number between 0 and 1 calculated as:

  (likes + shares + comments) / views

tallied over the past few videos.

If a user is Trending iff he has been spotted in the TikTok Trending Feed in the past 30 days.
